BREAKING: Trump's Disastrous Interview With Fox News

Trump’s trainwreck sitdown with Laura Ingraham showed a man detached from reality as he rambled about “fake polls,” 50-year mortgages, and French people while Ingraham struggled to believe her ears.

Last night’s Fox News interview between Donald Trump and Laura Ingraham was supposed to be friendly territory. Instead, it turned into a slow-motion car crash, the kind where even his most reliable cheerleader couldn’t hide her disbelief.

From the jump, Trump was defensive and incoherent. When Ingraham asked why polls show Americans are anxious about the economy, he snapped that “the polls are fake” and insisted the economy is “better than ever.” That’s an easy thing to say when you’re sitting at Mar-a-Lago with stone crab in one hand and a golf club in the other. For everyone else, grocery bills, rent, and health care costs are still crushing — and Trump seems blissfully unaware.

Then came the 50-year mortgage idea. Trump dismissed concerns about the impact, saying longer loans “aren’t a big deal.” But for a $500,000 home at 5% interest, that’s an extra $400,000 in lifetime payments. To Trump, that’s pocket change. To most Americans, that’s everything.
